Take your book project to the next level.

With over a decade of experience in book publishing, the majority of which was spent working for Big-Five companies, I can give your project the push it needs to succeed—whether that means granular line editing or big-picture conceptual, structural, and organizational work. Working with a wide range of clients, from publishing houses, to agents, to individual authors, I tailor my approach to the specific needs of each situation. I can provide advice and developmental editing on book proposals and sample chapters, broad editorial feedback on manuscripts, or a final polish. Moss

MOSS is a literary journal of writing from the Pacific Northwest that I co-founded in 2014 with my friend and collaborator Alex Davis-Lawrence. Published annually, Moss is dedicated to showcasing the the region's outstanding writers and bringing their work to the broadest possible audience. Since its debut issue in the summer of 2015, Moss has received praise for its sharp design, strong editorial hand, and its commitment to supporting new and emerging writers. In 2020, film rights to a short story from Moss, Vol. 2 ("Sinkhole," by Leyna Krow), were sold to Universal Studios, with Jordan Peele and Issa Rae attached to produce. The project is currently in development. To learn more about Moss, you can read an interview that Alex and I did with the Los Angeles Review of Books in 2019.

"Moss is at the vanguard of modern Northwest literature."
